These 3-D glasses are one of the most sought after Master System items, and for good reason; they are extremely rare and work incredibly well. These are not regular headache inducing Red/Blue glasses. In fact they are even more advanced than the polarized glasses used by most modern 3-D theatres (the ones you find in Theme Parks). Sega's 3-d glasses are actually electronically controlled with shuttered liquid crystals, a technology that was only recently adopted by high-end IMAX theaters. Basically, each lens is an LCD screen that alternates between transparency and opacity every 1/60th of a second. This is done in sync with SegaScope compatible games, sending a different image to each eye and creating an incredibly convincing 3-d effect without the color loss or eyestrain of regular 3-D techniques. In classic Sega tradition, these glasses were far ahead of their time. Unfortunately, they were also under-appreciated (another Sega tradition), so not very many were made. This has made them a very hot collectable among fans, so get yours while you can!

Special Note:
The 3-D Adaptor only has one input for the Glasses, however it is possible to use more than one pair of glasses at a time. The glasses connect to the 3-D adaptor through a mini plug (headphone jack). This means it is possible to use a headphone splitter to connect multiple glasses to the 3-D adaptor.
