Similar to the previous games, you battle the various virus in the network, and obtain new power with battlechips. You can also build your own battlechips during the quest.
Capcom introduces the Soul Unison System in EXE 4 where Mega Man is able to fuse his soul with that of a Navi that he encounters often. The Red Sun version features the souls of Navis such as Fire Man's Fire Soul, Roll's Roll Soul and Thunder Man's Thunder Soul among others.
