According to the December 6, 2005, edition of the Wordtracker report (based on 330 search terms updated by Metacrawler and Dogpile), "Sudoku" ranks 132nd among the most searched terms on the web -- only two spots behind "Santa Claus." Of course, St. Nick is experiencing an obvious popularity boost from children desperately searching for his address so they can mail him their laundry lists of Xmas must haves. And Dr. Sudoku still hasn't burst on the scene. That changes next year.
